Bali, Indonesia 2020
Bali is a place filled with culture, tradition, magnificent temples, and remarkable scenery.
While the humidity was 90% so was our itch (also from mosquitos bites) for adventure and sight seeing. I needed to wear a bandana every day to keep the sweat from my eyes, (y’all should see the tan line in my forehead lol). Bali is one of the more eco-friendly countries I have been to, as a store clerk told us “no plastic bag; in Bali.” A place where value is placed on their natural resources and scenery. The sculptured temples are sacred places on mountains and sea shores, seemingly made to be part of nature.
Adventure was riding mopeds in Nusa Penida in the pouring rain! Well worth it for the T-rex cliff at the top. Hiking trails leading the fantastic views. Stopping monkeys from stealing our backpacks. Even going to the open markets to haggle a good deal on souvenirs. To the people of Bali, I thank you for being so hospitable and allowing me to visit this beautiful country.
